Overview
This study examines how transportation agencies collect and use Daily Work Report (DWR) data, and identifies barriers to getting more value from it. A literature review and two surveys informed a framework for an advanced DWR system.
The framework covers data structure, system integration, visualization, collection methods, automated analysis and reporting, human factors, and related technical considerations. Agencies can use it to improve an existing DWR system or guide the development of a new one.
